How to Survive a Boring Class
If a class really boring, and you find it hard to concentrate on what the teacher is saying, try the following bits of advice, but you might find yourself getting into real trouble by doing them.
Steps practice drawing
Play games with your friends. If you have friends in the class who sit near you with an empty desk (or two) in between, try this: crumple up a sheet of notebook paper into a ball shape and set it on your desk. Get out a pen. Then, pull back your pen and aim at your friend. Release the pen and send the little ball flying. Only do this if the teacher has their back to you, or you risk punishment. Try not to make very much noise while crumpling up the paper, or else the teacher might turn around and wonder what you're up to!
Get out a clean sheet of notebook paper and begin brainstorming. Write random things down on it. When you are done, start thinking about them, and figure out how to turn your thoughts into a daydream. You can daydream about things you would like to do, or see. Doing so makes the time seem to pass so fast, that when you look up at the clock, the class period is over, and it will be time to go to your next class!!!
Look around the classroom, or at another classmate. Even better, put your head down on your desk. When you do this, make sure you sit at the back of the room so that your teacher might not see you.
Get out a piece of paper and start drawing. This could also be an opportunity for you to learn something useful. The night before, go to Google and look up how to draw things. Print off a few pages, and take time during the boring class to brush up on your artistic talents! write a story
Take out a pen/pencil and a notebook and start to write a story. It doesn't matter how good an author you are, just start writing about the first thing you think of. You could write about your life, or about a kid in the mountains. It could be a fantasy, or something that really happened to you. At the end of class, read what you have written. You might want to add to it in another boring class, until you find you have written a short story. Who knows, if you have a lot of boring classes, you could write a book, and possibly even have it published someday and become rich and famous!
Hurt yourself and cry, or purposely break your pen open and splodge ink all over the desk. this way you will cause a ruckus. Or, pretend you feel sick. This may require a little bit of talent/acting, so make sure you are up to the challenge. When you enter the class, make sure you are holding your stomach (or whatever you wish to pretend hurts). If your teacher asks if you are OK, tell him/her that you do not feel well, and that maybe something you ate is making you feel sick and ask if you can go to the health office. he/she will probably send you to see the nurse. This way, you can get out of classwork for the period, or if you are lucky, maybe even get out of the school for the day.
Play quiet writing games instead of taking notes so you look like you're paying attention. If your teacher has an annoying or weird habit, like saying, 'um', or clearing his/her throat, jot down how many times he/she does it.
Continuously stare at somebody for the entire lesson while breathing loudly/wheezing, and if you can, blinking. Make sure that there is no expression on your face, and it will really freak them out and will be more fun for you!
Practice something, like twirling a pen around your fingers Read a book.
Just get over with it. Even though you do not like that class, just try to treat that class like any other job you have. Who knows, you might learn something very interesting by the time you're done!
Tips When doing anything that your teacher may get mad at you for, be careful to only do it when their back is turned to you.
The writing activities are less likely to call your teacher's attention. Hey, he or she might even think you're taking notes!
If you keep your eyes on the teacher while daydreaming, he/she might think you're deeply concentrated on what he/she is saying. Or possibly that you're a creep.
If you have homework that you want to finish while in the boring class, go ahead and finish it. but make sure to raise your hand and ask a question every so often, to prevent getting caught.
